WeLearn Academy Newsletter – September 13 – September 17, 2021
Dear WeLearn Community:
It is thrilling to see the WeLearn Center (Bangkok) once again, come to life, as more Learners this week visit the center to meet their friends after another lockdown. Hearing the fun and excitement from the kids while playing during lunchtime and after school was indeed like music to the ears.
We had a big buzz this week from the high excitement of our learners in their new STEM Innovation Program. Be sure to check the link below if you have not seen before, on a study from an Australian University, how Minecraft Education impacts students’ learning in 25 different areas.
Deadline to Register for STEM Innovation
We had some technical issues and duplication of data from both parents and students in the previous registration form. We have created a new registration system where you could only register with your child’s WeLearn email address. The rest of the details are available in the Innovation section below.
Mentoring Session in MS Teams
Our mentors will be calling our learners for mentoring through their MS Teams account. Our Learners would need to be online before their scheduled time. Please consider having MS Teams on your child’s phone or any of their portable devices besides from their computer for a much easier access. Also, our mentoring schedule will be the same for each week so our learners would remember their weekly appointment and depend less on reminders.
WeLearn Center will be Closed
WeLearn Center (all centers) will be closed Friday, 24th of September 2021, for the second dose of vaccines to all WeLearn staff. The center will reopen on the following Monday, 27th September 2021.
Re-opening of the WeLearn Center (Bangkok)
Kindly notify our front office staff if your child would like to come over and join their friends at the center during their learning time. Please find the regulations provided at the bottom of the newsletter.
Wishing you a wonderful and safe weekend.
As always, Upward and Onwards!!
