While getting much-needed social stimulation, they will be guided by a team of coaches who will nurture and encourage students creatively. With a variety of PBL topics, students will be able to engage and explore their interests. Each topic provides enough challenges for learners to collaborate while developing essential future skills such as synthesis, communication, critical thinking and problem solving. For more information see our PBL page

Courses Offered, Secondary: Smart City and Clean Energy, Quality Education, Zero Hunger
The Explorers and Adventurers topic connects students ages 10 through 18 to study explorers and the impact they have had on communities around the world. Students choose from multiple project options and share their work with the PenPal Schools global community. To help students create their projects, each student collaborates with peers from around the world through a series of online lessons. Smart City and Clean Energy
Smart City & Clean Energy is one of the global problems the UN is trying to address with the young people. Learners will understand what renewable energy is and how it compares to non-renewable energy. They will also explore the advantages of renewable energy and develop innovative solutions for renewable energy. Students will be working in groups to propose a smart city model integrating sustainable sources of energy and will submit a video presentation of their case study and their proposed solutions.
Quality Education
Quality Education is one of the global problems the UN is trying to address with the young people. Quality education is one way to break from the cycle of poverty and help reduce inequalities. Learners will be working in groups in order to address the global problem of Quality Education in the local context. Students will conduct a case study analysis on the issues Thailand is facing on quality education and will submit a video presentation of their case study and their proposed solutions.
Zero Hunger
Zero Hunger is one of the global problems the UN is trying to address with the young people. Learners will have an opportunity to take part in trying to provide solutions to the global problems we are currently facing. Students will be working in groups to conduct a case study analysis on how to solve the Hunger problems locally in Thailand or in other countries. They will be required to submit a video presentation of their case study and proposed solutions.
Hard and Soft Skills
Courses Offered, Primary: Robotics, 3D Designing & Coding, Game Programming, StopMotion, Film Making.
Courses Offered, Secondary: Robotics, Game Programming, MathCoding, Impact 101, Start-Up.
Robotics 1.0 & 2.0 will allow learners to work as a team in building and designing a robot from scratch. Learn how to code and programme different robots according to your level either Spheros, mBot, or Vex in order to perform complex moves, overcome obstacles, or perform a certain task you may design using a phone or a tablet device. An introduction of basic animation and movie making skills will also be integrated as the final output in the course to bring more excitement in the learning experience.
Game Programming
Game Programming and Coding Course connects students ages 9 through 18 to experience game design, game development as well as game coding. Game Design and Development is a well rewarded career and is highly demanded. Students choose from multiple project options and share their work with their peers. To help students create their projects, the instructor will share the real game applications.
Math Coding
Math Coding offers the opportunity to solve basic mathematical problems which students study in school, through coding. It will be a good class for students to improve the mathematics grade. It will cover both mathematics and coding. Mathematics is a fundamental tool in computing and computing is increasingly used as a key component in mathematical problem-solving. The course will initially concentrate on using the coding to solve basic mathematical problems such as addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. It will then extend the material to cover mathematical word problems. It will also cover basic algebra problems, basic trigonometry problems and other interesting mathematical areas which students will encounter in school. The course will eventually introduce students to create interesting mathematical graphs which is not possible without using coding.
StopMotion Animation
In StopMotion Animation, kids will learn how to create and produce animation by teaching them the full scale of stop motion techniques. During the camp, learners will choose their favourite stop-motion style and collaborate to produce a 3 minute long animation film. Learners will develop skills in script writing, storyboarding, framing, shooting, editing, and sound design. Upon completing this course, learners will be able to produce stop-motion animation and understand the base knowledge used for other types of animation.
Film Making
At Filmmaking Camp students get a first-hand experience that immerse them in the craft of filmmaking. The camp introduces students to the techniques, language, and process of filmmaking, storytelling, as well as provides opportunity for teamwork and collaboration. They will also learn various jobs in filmmaking, write an original screenplay, lighting effects, and film editing.
Technopreneur Start-Up
The Technopreneur Startup course is designed to allow students to design a business model with the “Triple Bottom Line” model i.e. social responsibility, environmental sustainability, and financial viability. Learners are expected to apply basic Design Thinking, Prototyping, and application startup methodologies. Moreover, students would also need to demonstrate collaborative skills, communication skills, presentation and pitching skills.
IMPACT 101
Impact 101 will help students learn to make an impact in whatever you choose to do. Learners will be developing future skills and basic design thinking techniques like: 1. find important issues that have meaning to them 2. collaborate as members of a team 3. creatively communicate and present with an audience. This course is a great opportunity for students to start developing the skills they need to be an effective leader that can shape the future.
