Two journeys, one learning centre

A gifted 11-year-old and a 16-year-old need different things. Choose the journey that fits your child today.

Mastery learning for your gifted child. Middle learners (11 to 14) choose their preferred academic pathway (British or US) and begin the process early, with the absolute flexibility to switch tracks up to 14 years old.

Early pathway selection

Your child selects their initial academic track (British IGCSE or US Diploma) and gets a custom plan built around their strengths. If goals evolve, they can switch pathways up to age 14 with zero friction.

Foundational mastery

Learners move topic by topic, advancing only when a concept is truly understood. Gaps close quietly while strengths accelerate.

Portfolio building begins

From the first term, projects and best work go into a digital portfolio. It grows with your child instead of reducing them to a grade.

MAP testing as a growth compass

MAP (a short adaptive test used by schools worldwide) measures growth, not judgement. Coaches use it to celebrate progress and adjust the plan.

From about age 14, mastery turns into recognised qualifications. Same coaches, same pace-setting — now pointed at a diploma.

Choosing a qualification track

Learners choose the British IGCSE route or the US High School Diploma — and can switch later without changing learning centres. Full pathway details are in the curriculum partner section below.

Portfolio becomes the Mastery Transcript

Years of portfolio evidence become a Mastery Transcript — a recognised record of what your teen can actually do. It travels alongside their grades.

Exam preparation, the low-stress way

Mocks are broken into mastery checkpoints, and coaches handle revision planning on campus. Students sit exams when they are ready — not when the calendar says so.

Ready for what comes next

University readiness is the final beat, not the daily drumbeat. Graduates have been accepted at 100+ universities, including Oxford, Cambridge, Harvard and Stanford.

Where this journey has led

Two WeLearn students whose High School journeys show what becomes possible when we remove academic ceilings.

Bob

IGCSE · British Pathway via CambriLearn

From Middle School to Newcastle University

Bob joined WeLearn in Middle School and progressed steadily through to secondary graduation via the CambriLearn pathway. Along the way he discovered a deep passion for SUP Board LiftFoil — a sport that became the engine for his entire PBL journey.

Channelling that enthusiasm into an Entrepreneurship project, Bob built a complete business model to promote the sport, organise training sessions, and grow a community around it. The project brought together market research, financial planning, event management, and brand strategy — all grounded in something he genuinely cared about.

He has since been accepted to Newcastle University to study Business.

Diego

US High School Diploma · Acellus Academy

A Diploma at 16, a Career Vision at 14

Diego completed his US High School Diploma at the age of 16 — ahead of schedule and with clear purpose. The momentum began two years earlier, when our PBL programmes sparked a genuine fascination with Architecture and design at just 14 years old.

From that point, Diego dedicated every subsequent project to exploring architecture in depth — from spatial design and materials to the cultural and environmental forces that shape built environments. His portfolio reflects a learner who found his direction early and pursued it with focus.

He is currently collaborating with our mentors to identify and apply to architecture programmes in France.
