ADHD support · Ages 11–18 · Sathon, Bangkok

Your teen with ADHD isn’t lazy. The classroom just wasn’t built for their brain.

Bright, curious, full of ideas — and still coming home with unfinished work, missed deadlines and the label “not trying hard enough.” If that sounds like your teenager, you are not alone, and it is not their fault.

WeLearn is a full-time alternative learning center in Bangkok where teens with ADHD learn in a low-stress environment, with personalized learning, a dedicated mentor and real projects that give their energy somewhere to go.

Does this sound like your teen?

Parents of teens with ADHD — diagnosed or not — often tell us the same story.

  • Clearly intelligent, but their grades don’t show it
  • Can focus for hours on what they love, yet can’t start homework
  • Loses things, forgets deadlines, leaves projects half-finished
  • Teachers say they are “disruptive,” “daydreaming” or “not reaching potential”
  • Holds it together at school, then melts down at home
  • Has started to believe they are “stupid” or “bad at school”

Why traditional school is so hard for teens with ADHD

ADHD is mostly a difference in executive function — the brain’s system for starting tasks, planning, managing time and holding instructions in mind. A typical secondary classroom asks for exactly those skills all day long: sit still, listen to long explanations, copy notes, remember homework for six subjects and hand it all in on time.

When a teenager can’t meet that demand, the feedback they get is usually about effort and behaviour, not about how their brain works. Over time many stop trying, become anxious, or decide school is simply “not for them.” The problem is rarely the child. It is the fit between the child and the environment.

The WeLearn environment

A place where your teen can breathe again

Before any strategy works, a young person has to feel safe. Everything at WeLearn starts from these five commitments.

Safe & Happy Environment

A safe, calm and friendly space where young people can learn happily.

Freedom to Explore

Room to try things, ask questions and not be afraid of making mistakes.

Every Child Is Different

Every child learns and grows at their own pace. Some already know what they love; others are still discovering it.

Individual Support

We follow each learner closely and step in to help as soon as a problem appears.

Be Yourself, Reach Your Potential

When young people feel safe and free to be themselves, meaningful learning happens — and that leads them to their full potential.

  • Low-stress learning environment
  • Personalized learning
  • Mentorship
  • Learning by doing

How WeLearn supports teens with ADHD

We don’t try to make your teen sit still and be quiet. We build an environment where their brain can work.

A personal mentor, every week

Every learner has weekly 1-on-1 mentorship and daily coaching. Their mentor helps break big goals into small, visible steps and checks in before small slips become big problems.

Executive function, taught — not assumed

Planning, prioritising and getting started are treated as skills to learn. Learners build their own systems and understand why certain tasks feel hard for them, and what works instead.

Learning by doing

Project-based learning gives restless energy a purpose. Building, testing and presenting real work keeps attention far better than worksheets — and makes the hard parts worth pushing through.

A calm, low-stress space

Small cohorts, no crowded corridors, and a quiet low-sensory Focus Hub for deep work. Less noise and less pressure leave more energy for learning.

Progress at their own pace

Our mastery-based model lets learners move on when they understand, not when the calendar says so — racing ahead in strengths and taking extra time where they need it.

Recognised qualifications

Teens work towards accredited IGCSE or US Diploma pathways, so a different way of learning never means giving up on university options.

Questions parents ask us

Does WeLearn accept teenagers with ADHD?

Yes. Many WeLearn learners have ADHD, and our learning model is built around how they work best: weekly 1-on-1 mentorship, daily coaching, hands-on projects and a calm, low-stress environment in Sathon, Bangkok. We welcome learners aged 11 to 18.

Does my child need an ADHD diagnosis to join?

No. Some families come to us with a formal assessment and some are still wondering. A diagnosis is not required. If you do have a report, sharing it during admission helps us personalise your teen’s plan from the first week.

Is WeLearn a special-needs school?

No. WeLearn is a full-time alternative learning center for gifted, twice-exceptional (2e) and differently-wired teens. We are not a clinic and do not provide therapy. We are a learning community where teens with ADHD learn alongside peers in a personalized, low-stress environment.

How do you help with focus and executive function?

Through structure that fits the learner rather than more rules. Mentors help teens break work into short, clear steps, plan their week and review what worked. Projects give a real reason to finish. Over time learners build their own toolkit for getting started and staying on track.

Can my teen still earn recognised qualifications?

Yes. WeLearn learners follow accredited IGCSE or US Diploma pathways alongside project-based learning, so they keep university options open while learning in a way that suits them.
